At Frankel Dental Care we offer two renowned whitening systems – Enlighten and Zoom! – so get in touch to find out if teeth whitening will work for you.
Professional teeth whitening
No matter how robust your oral hygiene regime is, stained and yellowing teeth are an unfortunate fact of life – but that doesn’t mean you have to live with them! For many patients in Ascot, professional teeth whitening – the kind that can only be carried out by a qualified dentist – offers a fast and easy route to achieving a clean and bright white smile.
Dentists love the Enlighten system for its gentle treatment and predictably excellent results – with Enlighten, it’s possible to lighten teeth by up to 16 shades, using state-of-the-art bleaching trays that are custom-made to fit your mouth precisely.
How it works
Enlighten teeth whitening will first require you to have your dental impressions taken at Frankel Dental Care. These are sent to a lab where your bespoke bleaching trays are engineered. While you’re waiting, your dentist will provide you with Enlighten’s Tooth Serum – a special toothpaste that works to improve the whitening process and strengthen your teeth against sensitivity.
When your whitening trays are ready, you’ll return to Frankel Dental Care to collect them, along with your prescription bleaching gel. Teeth whitening can be carried out at home, every night, for two weeks. A final visit to Frankel Dental Care will include a 40-minute treatment to boost and fine-tune the colour of your newly whitened teeth. You can use your trays in future to top up your whitening whenever required, too.
If you’re short on time, or perhaps you have a special event coming up, the Philips Zoom! in-surgery whitening treatment could be just the ticket. Available to patients in Ascot and surrounding areas through Frankel Dental Care, the Zoom! system can whiten teeth by up to eight shades in just an hour – so getting the perfect white smile can even be done in your lunch break!
How it works
The in-surgery treatment involves using a special lamp that accelerates the whitening process. After applying a hydrogen peroxide gel to your teeth, the dentist positions the overhead lamp to deliver three to four 15-minute bursts of UV light. The results will depend on how stained your teeth were in the first place, and on your diet too; following your treatment with a double espresso is definitely not recommended! Your dentist will send you home with plenty of advice on diet and nutrition, as well as bleaching trays for you to top up your whitening in your own time.
